It’s official – Adobe UK is a Best Workplace for Wellbeing

What defines a “great place to work” today? With our entire team working remotely and flexibly these past two years, usual office perks like after work socials and bottomless snacks have suddenly become less important. For us it meant we needed to find ways to dial up our holistic wellbeing initiatives to help our employees feel balanced at a time that was anything but.

Our employees are committed to their work as they are to the rich lives they lead at home, whether that’s enjoying quality time with their loved ones or pursuing the passions that make them who they are. But when one side of this equation gets imbalanced, it can destabilise the other. Adobe’s approach to wellness is about helping our people embrace all the joys, challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities that come their way.

Which is why we’re so honoured to be named as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work for Wellbeing, ranked seventh by Great Place to Work for large companies. Companies are assessed on work life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security.

Adobe Wellbeing: A closer look

Here’s a taste of the benefit sand resources that have made Adobe one of the UK’s Best Places to Work for Wellbeing:

Here’s what a few members of our UK team had to say:

Murdo Aird, senior engineering manager, Business Platform, who finds calm in mindfulness:

“I’ve really benefited from the Headspace app, and so has my partner. The mindful parenting content has helped us manage our three very different children. Not only do I feel calmer, I’m also in a better frame of mind to focus on my work.”

Hannah Hughes, lead GTM manager Adobe Sign EMEA, who makes wellness a family affair:

“I’ve used the wellness reimbursement for regular Personal Training sessions and it also pays for my little ones to attend swimming lessons together. Having both covered by Adobe makes me appreciate how seriously the leadership takes our health and it helps me put myself first for those few hours a week, taking a step away from stresses.”

Adam Troman, senior manager customer success, who never forgets to take a step back:

“I make a point of working wellness into my life and having access to the Headspace app has helped me clear my mind and be ready to tackle the day ahead. Last year I also used the wellness benefit to purchase golf clubs and while my game is still pretty bad, I love getting outside! It helps knowing Adobe cares and is concerned for our wellness which enables me to not let things get to me.”

Marta Sloma, lifecycle marketing manager, who makes time for physical and mental strength:

“Working from home had a huge impact on my days, as all of a sudden, I had fewer reasons and opportunities to get out of the house. When Adobe introduced global days off, initially I thought I would use them for life admin, but I quickly turned these into ‘me’ days with long walks and home spa treatments becoming welcome rituals. Knowing that everybody in the company had the day off as well has helped, because it means I don’t come back to a full inbox making it an even more relaxing experience.”

Improving the employee experience every day

We know that whilst our employees commit a lot of their time and energy to Adobe, their lives outside of the work are rich and full—and very busy. Therefore, creating an inclusive employee experience and a culture of togetherness helps us ensure our employees know they’re valued and understood. We would like to thank our Adobe UK team for everything they to each day and to Great Places to Work for the latest recognition.
