Brandon and Darshana, part of the 2022 graduate cohort in Australia, began their university studies abroad and ended up completing their degrees in Australia. With both coming from unique backgrounds and experiences, they made the most of their opportunity in the Adobe graduate program. We spoke to them about where they’re from, what they’re doing at Adobe and how they’re making an impact.
Tell us a little bit about your background
Brandon Taylor, Sales Development Graduate: I'm originally from Long Island, New York. I furthered my education in Hartford, Connecticut in the United States, where I studied at the University of Hartford and received my bachelor's degree in Business Management. I worked in the front office for a minor league baseball team in the US before trading New York City skyscrapers for Sydney beaches.
I completed a short-term study abroad program at the University of Sydney and loved it so much that I pursued a Master of Commerce degree in marketing & business strategy at the university. During my time there, I complimented my studies by completing an internship at an advertising agency, and an online music publication. The experience expanded my creativity, digital skills, understanding of UX & UI and customer journey mapping
Darshana Shah, Data & Insights Graduate: I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in electronics & communication engineering in India. Post-graduation, I started a job at Sony as a Software Engineer in R&D where I worked on projects involving wireless 5G networks.
I moved to Sydney in 2020 after receiving an offer from the University of New South Wales to study a Master of Information Technology, specialising in artificial intelligence & data science. After completing my postgraduate degree in 2021, I worked in the salesforce industry as a functional & Einstein analytics consultant for almost a year before making the switch to Adobe.
I’ve been traveling between India and Australia since I was 6 years old and have lived in global cities like Sydney, Bangalore and Mumbai. As a result, I’ve been raised in a multicultural environment, and that is one of the reasons I enjoy working at Adobe where cultural diversity is promoted.
