How to manifest your future career as an intern
It’s National Intern Day! At Adobe, our interns bring new and exciting ideas that are fundamental in creating the future of the company. This is the fourth year that Adobe has been recognized as a WayUp Top 100 internship program. To celebrate, we checked in with Adobe interns to learn more about how they’re building their future careers at Adobe. Here’s what they had to say about exploring different paths, meeting inspiring people, and building skills and confidence for the adventures ahead.
Gain career clarity
“As a marketing major with a data analytics minor and a passion for creativity, my career aspirations involve, hopefully, starting in social media as a creative strategist at Adobe post-graduation, leveraging the skills gained during my internship. This experience has provided clarity and hands-on opportunities to strategize, edit, and produce content for the Adobe Express TikTok channel, refining my social media strategist abilities within an in-house team. Ultimately, I aim to transition into more traditional marketing roles like marketing research or product marketing, using the solid foundation and unique perspective gained from my social media journey at Adobe.”
-Junior Agbenowossi, Social and Creative Strategy Intern (United States)
Embody the art of storytelling
“One area I have really wanted to improve and gain experience in is the art of storytelling. A big part of studying design is being able to effectively communicate your ideas, research, and goals to maximize your impact. I have been incredibly fortunate to work within a team that has this down to an art. I have learned from my mentors and been given opportunities to put this into practice, both in person and through digital tools. I feel so lucky to have had this hands-on experience.”
-Jaime Forson, Digital Strategy Analyst Intern (Australia)
Build lifelong connections and memories
“I enjoyed the Intern Summit held at Adobe’s California headquarters. As an extrovert, I felt truly in my element. The camaraderie, shared experiences, and valuable insights gained during the Summit left a lasting impression and created cherished memories that I'll carry with me throughout my career.
Overall, the combination of attending the Intern Summit, meeting diverse individuals, and learning different sales techniques has made this internship truly exceptional and rewarding.”
-Pawel Sloboda, Student Athlete Micro Internship, Adobe Sales Academy Intern (United States)
Create impact with your team
“Working at Adobe means being surrounded by a lot of competent people who are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to learn from our senior developer to see how decisions are made. This helped me develop a monitoring strategy for our service, which has been implemented and is now being used by our team.”
-Jan Strich, Backend Developer Intern (Germany)
Find creativity everywhere
“Being at Adobe has inspired me to be more creative in my everyday life and has taught me that even at a large company such as Adobe there is a sense of community, I had the opportunity to meet amazing people who made this experience more than I expected. Everyone I have talked to during my time here has been nothing but welcoming and eager to give feedback or generally help me navigate this journey. I think I will take away a lot of skills regarding my future career aspirations, but I will also take away the experience of being able to see first-hand how welcoming the Adobe community is.”
-Yazmin Pitpit, Student Athlete Micro Internship, Sports Marketing Intern (United States)
Always pursue authenticity
“The Adobe community has inspired me to embrace my true, authentic self. I love how Adobe has different community spaces that represent different groups. My biggest take away from this summer is that it is important to advocate for myself not only in the workforce but also within the classroom, on the volleyball court, and in how I lead.”
-Olivia Stephens, Student Athlete Micro Internship, Associate Product Manager Intern (United States)
