Last year, Adobe kicked off a multi-year partnership with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) as the Official Creativity Partner of the NWSL, helping elevate player stories and inspire the next generation of fans and creators.

Tonight, the 2024 NWSL Draft (5pm PT/8pm ET at the Anaheim Convention Center) will welcome the next generation of players to the premier women’s soccer league in the world. Adobe Acrobat — the global standard for consuming, creating, editing, and signing PDFs — will be highlighted during the draft as the Official Digital Signature Platform of the NWSL. Newly drafted players will move backstage and will be given a red pen powered by Adobe Acrobat to sign their name on a piece of glass, signaling to the world the start of their incredible journeys in women’s professional soccer.

“We’re excited for Adobe Acrobat to be the Official Digital Signature Platform of the NWSL as part of this year’s draft — a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these remarkable athletes as they move on to the next stage of their careers,” said Heather Freeland, chief brand officer, Adobe. “Together with the NWSL, we have a wonderful opportunity to reach new audiences for the women’s game with inspiring stories from the next wave of players who dare to dream.”

"In a dynamic sporting landscape where time and resources are crucial, Adobe's robust digital document solutions will enhance the operational backbone of the NWSL,” said NWSL Executive vice president of Partner Strategy Mitch Poll. “We’re excited to fittingly kick off this extended partnership with Adobe as we welcome the next generation of players at the NWSL Draft on Friday with a unique signing experience that aligns perfectly with our shared goal of propelling players, teams and the league to new heights in creativity and productivity both on and off the pitch."

With the profile of women’s sports growing at a rapid pace, the business of the NWSL is often time and resource constrained. Critical documents detailing player contracts, sponsorship agreements and budgets are the center of how business is done in the NWSL and sports leagues around the world.

Adobe Acrobat is the engine powering digital work for every size and type of business, empowering them to effortlessly create, send, sign, and manage critical documents from wherever they are. It’s a complete solution for creating, sending, signing, and managing agreements — individually and at scale.

Hundreds of millions of active users view Acrobat as the most trusted brand for PDF security and compliance, meeting people where they work — on desktop, web and mobile — and integrating with popular productivity applications like Microsoft 365 and Google Drive to deliver safe and seamless collaboration.

With Acrobat becoming the Official Digital Signature Platform of the NWSL, Adobe and the NWSL are continuing their partnership further to advance equity in sports and help NWSL teams, players and fans advance and supercharge their creative and productivity skills on and off the pitch.
