Adobe Express for Box: Bringing together creativity and collaboration in the cloud
In a world where the demand for content is growing rapidly, teams still face problems with images scattered across different apps and lots of version control issues, which hinder digital workflows and delay critical project milestones.
To reach team and enterprise users where they work and help them efficiently manage their assets, we’re building a growing ecosystem of Adobe Express integrations across a wide range of global platforms. As part of this strategy, Adobe Express has partnered with cloud content management platform Box — used by 115k organizations and 68 percent of Fortune 500 companies across various industries. And now Adobe Express is integrated directly into Box, enabling millions more users to edit images and save those edits to Box, all without needing to download anything or switch platforms.
As the default image editor for Box, Adobe Express brings its powerful suite of image editing and Adobe Firefly generative AI capabilities directly to content managed in Box. Let’s take a look at how your team can use Adobe Express for Box to save time and enhance productivity while keeping content secure in the intelligent content cloud.
What can you do with Adobe Express for Box?
Adobe Express can be used to edit any visual file stored in Box — from banners to social posts, flyers, branded email headers, and more.
Most of the integration’s image editing functionality is on by default, no login required. You only need an Adobe account if you want to use the AI-powered Generative Fill, Remove Background, and Erase features (see below). Simply create an Adobe account or log in with an existing one to get started for free.
Here’s a quick overview of what Adobe Express for Box can do for your organization:
Edit and enhance content with ease
Customize your images with intuitive image editing and generative AI tools in Adobe Express — all within Box. Instantly crop and resize images, apply filters, and adjust opacity.
Or remove distracting objects or backgrounds, and — once you’re logged into your Adobe account — even add (or replace) objects and people with a simple text prompt using Generative Fill, powered by Adobe Firefly. (Firefly is our generative AI model that is designed to be commercially safe.) Then save your assets directly to Box without ever needing to leave the platform.
Collaborate seamlessly
Access your assets from anywhere — on any device — and collaborate in real time with team members right inside Box. Give feedback on creative projects, leave comments, or approve designs without needing to download files. That helps keep everyone aligned on the development of the visual content.
Improve your file management and organization
Every file edited with Adobe Express for Box will be saved to Box, which reduces the time spent searching for specific assets and improves version control, as every revision or update automatically saves to the same location in Box’s file structure.
“Around 40 percent of all files stored in Box are visual content — and now anyone from beginners to experienced designers will be able to securely create and transform content with Adobe Express,” said Ketan Kittur, vice president of Product Management, Platform and Integrations at Box. “Enabling Adobe Express as the default image editor for the Box Intelligent Content Management platform means our customers can bring their ideas to life faster than ever before with industry-leading creative tools and AI designed to be safe for business.”
