#ColorFontWeek – Aires
Download Aires here.
Aires is an OpenType-SVG Color Font designed by Yai Salinas. Yai is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of Buenos Aires (FADU) in Argentina. The inspiration for this font is her passion for typography and geometry. Yai says, “Designing fonts is daily therapy.”
In Aires, you’ll notice the influence of classic letterforms. Yai’s use of bright contrast in colors adds a sense of intrigue and modernity to the letters. This font is inspired by the decorative and popular art born at the beginning of the twentieth century in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The final result is a font that is intricate, yet festive and fun.
“I think the biggest challenge for yourself when designing is to work on a design that you like, that is fun, and that you can enjoy. There is no point in making typography fonts that are not enjoyed,” Yai says.
The Aires OpenType-SVG Font was designed with Fontself Maker in Illustrator CC and made available at no charge to you for this week thanks to the generosity of Yai Salinas. This font can be used on the latest release of Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC. Free download expires 11/5.
This font is available as part of 5 free color font series released during #ColorFontWeek.
