What’s new in Premiere Pro.
Adobe Premiere Pro.
Editors and modern content creators need tools that streamline the creative process and empower them to deliver better stories faster. The latest release of Adobe Premiere Pro (version 14.0) helps you do that with workflow refinements, performance improvements, and new Auto Reframe.
Deliver faster with Auto Reframe
Videos today are viewed on a wide variety of platforms and devices. Optimizing your content for different social platforms often means you need to create multiple versions of the same project. Auto Reframe, powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology, automates the process of reformatting video in Premiere Pro for square, vertical, cinematic 16×9, or custom aspect ratios. Adobe Sensei features use AI and machine learning technologies to accelerate production workflows, automating manual tasks without sacrificing creative control.

Auto Reframe can be applied to individual clips as an effect or to whole sequences. Auto Reframe identifies the action in your video to ensure that what’s important stays within the new framing. When you are applying Auto Reframe, you can adjust the sensitivity of the algorithm, depending on the amount of motion within your footage. If needed, you can further refine the results by adjusting the keyframes after Auto Reframe has worked its magic. Auto Reframe helps you get your project to the finish line faster.
Enrich your stories in editorial
Premiere Pro offers a rich feature set for creative editorial, including powerful tools for color, audio, and graphics. The Essential Graphics panel just keeps getting better: working with shapes is much easier, including selecting, naming, and re-ordering layers as you design titles and graphics. Underlining text is now supported as well. Improvements to Motion Graphics templates, such as dropdown menus, provide even more efficient graphics workflows from After Effects to Premiere Pro. The range for audio gain has been expanded to +15dB, providing more headroom for your audio and bringing Premiere Pro in line with Audition. Improved Time Remapping can now be changed up to 20,000 percent for more creative options with speed changes.
Work more efficiently with your media
The 14.0 release of Premiere Pro includes a lot of under-the-hood refinements, including improvements for H265, HEVC, and Apple ProRes formats. ProRes HDR is now up to 10x faster. Thumbnail caching in the Project panel makes scrolling faster when searching and sorting your assets. Multichannel audio effects workflows are much more streamlined. New format support includes Canon C500, Canon XF-HEVC, Sony Venice V4 with high frame rate recording, and Apple ProRes Export in MXF on macOS and Windows.
