After Effects and Substance 3D for Motion Design

At IBC 2024, After Effects introduced new 3D capabilities, including support for embedded animations, enhanced shadows, and depth mapping for 3D models. Native 3D support in After effects, along with Substance 3D and Maxon tools, are creating powerful workflows for 3D motion design.

Meet MAT 4: The Substance 3D texturing contest returns

Meet MAT 4.

And finally, we're excited that Meet MAT 4, our popular 3D texturing contest, is underway again! Hosted on The Rookies platform, this contest challenges students and aspiring artists to showcase their creativity using Substance 3D Painter.

Participants are asked to transform our mascot MAT into a unique work of art through imaginative and detailed texturing. It’s an excellent opportunity for artists to learn new tools, showcase their skills, and gain recognition in the industry. Eligibility is open to those 18 years or older with no more than one year of professional industry experience. Exciting prizes are up for grabs, including high-end hardware, software licenses, and opportunities for professional exposure.
