Southern California Wildfires: Supporting the Community
It’s heartbreaking to see the devastation unfolding in Southern California as wildfires continue to ravage the region. Adobe has a deep connection to Los Angeles, with many employees, partners and creative community members living in the area. Los Angeles is a global hub of creativity, shaping culture and redefining industries. It’s home to countless artists, filmmakers, designers and innovators — too many of whom have lost their homes, studios and equipment.
In response to the immediate need of those affected by the wildfires, and those in the creative community, the Adobe Foundation is donating $1 million across the California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Entertainment Community Fund. If you are also looking for ways to support, we will match your donations to these incredible organizations at 100%:
- California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund: This leading nonprofit is dedicated to offering disaster and recovery support through directed grants. Their efforts encompass a wide range of critical recovery services, including housing, case management, mental health, and medical care for displaced residents. Additionally, the fund aids in rebuilding essential infrastructure, such as emergency communication systems, ensuring that the community can recover and rebuild effectively.
- Entertainment Community Fund: This fund is committed to fostering stability and resiliency within the performing arts and entertainment industry. It provides a safety net for professionals both on and off camera, offering direct aid to those who have suffered losses due to the fires. By supporting creators and workers in the entertainment industry, the fund helps maintain the vibrancy and creativity for which Los Angeles is known.
Other organizations that we are supporting include the American Red Cross and Direct Relief. Both have been on the ground providing urgent and much-needed aid to the LA community.
