Introducing the December Release of Adobe Capture

Two powerful new features come to Capture.

It’s almost the end of the year, and the Adobe Capture team has been working hard to bring some exciting new experiences to the app. Just in time for the holidays come two top-requested features to Capture that make creating anywhere easier than ever.

Create Color Shapes

Making high-contrast shapes in Capture has been a design staple, and now for the first time you can create detailed, full-color vector shapes, right from your mobile device! Simply open the app and switch from black and white to color mode in the shapes panel to vectorize artwork and photos.

Use the edit panel to crop, erase, draw, and fill in areas, and reduce the number of colors in your shape. Preview your vectorized shape using the preview mode before saving to your Creative Cloud library.

Color Shapes are currently available for iOS only.

Once your shape is saved to your library, use your color shapes in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Animate, and more.

Create shape-based patterns with Pattern Builder

Exclusively for Android and iOS tablets comes a new way of designing patterns. Capture’s newest experience will allow you to create your own patterns right from the vector shapes in your library. Choose from your single-color shapes and combine them using our precise snap grid to create colorful seamless patterns. Switch between a variety of tile shapes to create endless variations on your designs. You can then save your patterns as pattern tiles to use in Photoshop and Illustrator.

From your Library, tap the + sign next to your camera icon to enter Pattern Builder.
