Adobe named a top 10 most JUST company

When Dr. John Warnock and Dr. Charles Geschke cofounded Adobe in 1982, they set out to build a company that continuously innovated, while maintaining a culture in which employees treated others with trust and respect. Almost 40 years later, Adobe continues to be that company—investing in our employees, supporting our communities, and working towards building a sustainable future.

Each year, the Forbes JUST 100 list recognizes the top companies doing well by doing good—driving transformational change across industries and leaving a lasting impact on the world. We’re proud to see Adobe again recognized, placing #10 on this year’s list.

This recognition echoes our believe that by harnessing the best of Adobe—our people, platform, creativity and innovation—we can continue to make lasting change inside and outside of our company.

Supporting our employees

In these unprecedented times, the health and well-being of our employees continues to be a top priority. We’ve rolled out additional resources to support our employees including free access to virtual counseling sessions and access to meditation apps to help manage stress, anxiety and uncertainty. To enable our employees to unplug, Adobe established regular company-wide days off every third Friday through the end of 2020.

We believe when employees feel appreciated and included, they can be more creative, innovative, and successful. This is our Adobe For All vision. Through our Adobe For All commitments, we’ve maintained gender pay parity across all Adobe offices worldwide. Additionally, Adobe is committed to opportunity parity, an initiative we define as examining fairness in promotions and horizontal movements across demographic groups. This year we shared both promotion and horizontal movement metrics across gender and U.S. race/ethnicity.

For five years in a row, Adobe has been named on Fortune Magazine’s list of World’s Best Workplaces. This year, Adobe ranks #13 on the list—up two spots from last year.

Supporting our communities

At Adobe, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to share their creativity, and we want to break down any barriers that stand in the way of doing so. In that spirit, we launched several initiatives this year to further this mission.

As a part of our longstanding commitment to elevate diverse voices and create greater opportunities for all—especially the underrepresented, in August we launched a dedicated place for diverse voices, where everyone can be inspired, learn and share their creativity.

In times like this, we’re reminded how creativity and community have the power to change the world. We partnered with iconic artists and creative luminaries for our “Honor Heroes” campaign, galvanizing our creative community to create art to honor essential workers on the frontline of the pandemic.

We continue to support the students and teachers in our communities and around the world as they adjust to distance learning. To support K-12 students amidst this challenging landscape, Adobe expanded and extended our offer of Creative Cloud desktop applications to all students and teachers through January 31, 2021 for current U.S. K-12 volume license customers.

Building a sustainable future

Adobe is committed to conservation and sustainability—running our business in a manner that reduces our impact on the environment and collaborating with organizations that share our vision. Our products empower customers to express their creativity, manage document processes, deliver great customer experiences, and conserve natural resources.

In our pursuit to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2035, we quadrupled our renewable electricity deployment in 2019 without the use of offsets or unbundled renewable energy credits. We also announced our commitments to set new, more ambitious Science Based Targets to align with updated climate guidance.

We are proud to be joining forces with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and The Ocean Agency on a global awareness campaign, Ocean League, bringing people together through creativity and color, to rally support for ocean conservation and strong climate action.
