Adobe Premiere 25.6 adds smarter search, faster edits, and seamless collaboration
The newest version of Adobe Premiere brings next-level intelligence, speed, and collaboration to every part of your video workflow. Whether you’re cutting on your desktop or on the go, Premiere now brings a family of tools built to keep creators in flow.
This release includes smarter AI search for both audio and video, bulk audio bleeping that saves hours of cleanup, and smoother timeline interactions that make playback and editing more fluid than ever. Collaboration and content discovery have never been easier with even more cross-app connectivity between Frame.io, Adobe Stock, and Firefly. And we’re simplifying the name to Premiere – the same pro-level editing you know, now spanning desktop, iPhone, and more devices to come.
Here’s a closer look at everything new in Premiere 25.6:
Search deeper, edit faster
Ever been mid-edit and thought, “Where’s that one bird sound?” Or needed sirens, dogs barking, or any of the hundred little audio clips buried in your SFX library? The new Audio Search in the Search panel has you covered. Just describe what you’re looking for, and Premiere will find it across all your open projects. Drop it in, move on, and keep the mix flowing.
And it’s not just sound. With Find Similar, Premiere will surface clips that are visually similar in a click. Need a different angle, a fresh take, or some matching b-roll? No more endless scrolling. Click the Find Similar button or right-click on results in the Search panel and Premiere will surface the right footage so you can keep your story moving.
Bleep once, bleep everywhere
Editing out unwanted audio is tedious, time-consuming, and imperfect. Whether it’s a curse word, a confidential name, or just something you don’t want in the final cut, Premiere’s new Censor Transcript functionality lets you bleep, mute, or add a sound effect in one pass. You can even add your own custom sound effects. Flag words or phrases and Premiere will handle every instance, across your whole project. Plus, the Amplify effect is added to lower the original clip volume, so any audio keyframes won’t be impacted.
Generate in Firefly, send to Premiere
Generate video on the newly designed Firefly website using our commercially safe Firefly Video Model — or one of our partner models from Google, Runway, or Pika. Then just right-click the footage to send it to Premiere in a click without needing to manually download and import the footage. Fill b-roll gaps in your sequence, generate elements to composite, or create placeholders for future shots — no media management required.
Find the Frame.io V4 panel, right inside Premiere
Collaboration just got a serious upgrade. The new Frame.io V4 panel keeps you in the edit while bringing in comments, media, and versioning. Ingest assets, share cuts, and sync notes without ever leaving Premiere.
Need to export a sequence? Versions automatically stack in Frame.io. Feedback shows up right on your timeline. Notes stay live as you keep editing. It’s a smoother loop between you and your team. And yes, Frame.io comes included with Creative Cloud at no additional cost.
Start on iPhone, finish on desktop
If you’re shooting on the go, you can start the edit before you sit down at your computer with Premiere on iPhone. Begin editing in the field, then send to Premiere on desktop for even more advanced workflows and fine-tuning.
License Adobe Stock without the detour
Adobe Stock is now integrated inside Premiere like never before. Browse more than 52 million clips (including 92,000 free ones), video templates, images, music, sound effects, and more. Search, preview and license assets without breaking focus.
Access over 900 million assets — including video, images, music, sound effects, templates, 3D, and more — with the new Adobe Stock Unlimited plan, now available in the U.S. and select regions for $129.99/month.
Foundational editing improvements for every pro
We’ve continued to build upon the foundations that make editing faster and more reliable. Clip thumbnails stay visible while you edit, even giving you live feedback as you ripple or roll. And shuttling playback just works: no stutters, no flickers, no pops.
Plus, with the new N-RAW support you can use the latest cameras from Nikon, even manipulating raw camera settings as if you’re still shooting.
This release is designed to keep you focused on the fun part: shaping stories and making your edits stand out. It will save you time, cut down friction, and expand what’s possible in your timeline. Give these new tools a try in Premiere and let us know how they’re working for you. And keep sharing your ideas — we’ll keep turning them into incredible new features.
