Ely Greenfield is the Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Adobe’s Creative Products, overseeing Creative Cloud, including flagship applications like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator, as well as generative AI initiatives like Adobe Firefly.
As CTO of Adobe’s Creativity & Productivity business, he drives technology strategy, fostering innovation across Creative Cloud and Document Cloud. Ely led the launch of Adobe Firefly, the company’s first commercially safe generative AI model, now integrated into Adobe’s workflows to empower users of all skill levels.
Ely also oversees Adobe Research, focusing on AI, creative design tools, and immersive media. Before rejoining Adobe, Ely was CTO of AppDynamics, leading engineering for scalable systems. Earlier, he spent 20 years at Adobe and Macromedia, contributing to product development and business incubation, including Adobe Express. Ely holds a computer science degree from Brown University.
